Direct replacement, but...

The lock body shipped and arrived quickly. It is a direct replacement for the factory lock set, so install was quick and easy. Unfortunately, I had to order this lockset as a replacement for the previous one I ordered which failed in less than 2 years, with internal levers and pins falling out of place. Hope this one lasts longer!

Our lock failed after many years of service for the previous owners of our home. It was put into service in the 1980s. After a few years with us, it stopped latching when not locked. I was so glad to find a replacement. It fit perfectly and performs excellently!
