Found the original Allen wrench screw had deteriorated. I looked up and found I could replace the shaft and new screw. The new parts worked perfectly, buying parts from the manufacturer turned out to be the right thing.
First the technician support on the phone was very reliable and was very understanding about the lock that I needed.

One of the handles had chips in it and the cylinder was the knockoff when I was told I would get the premium Schlage brand. When I asked Robert about this, he said forget about our conversation and that I was a "Stupid Redneck".

As a locksmith, I go through a lot of SC1 key blanks, and these Kaba Ilco blanks have consistently been one of my go-to options. The brass is high quality, they cut cleanly, and they duplicate accurately with very little waste. I've used them for everything from residential Schlage locks to commercial rekey jobs, and they've always provided a smooth fit and reliable operation. They now have a properly functioning door! Actually ordered a second lock for my sister-in-law's. This one was a special order, with a configuration not listed on the website. Called and the modified lock shipped out and is now installed as well. Quite happy with Countryside Locks!

Was concerned about the fit but everything worked perfectly. Installation instructions seemed a little too easy but once you understand how the lock functions it’s really not hard to install.
