We had struggled with our old lock for years. Finally when I became the only person who could still “jiggle” it open I looked around on YouTube to see if anyone else had this issue? Of course that lead me to Countryside Locks. The directions were straightforward and its working very nicely!
i really like the look of it in the black, but the only thing is that it takes alittle effort to turn the key to open. i have oiled all of the components but have to really work at the key to release. to lock it closed works very well. that is the only reason i could not give 5 stars, but i would still purchase from this company.

It was indeed an exact replacement. It fit perfect and looks fantastic. A different lock company told me these were no longer available and the door would have to be modified to a different lock assembly. You have proved them wrong. Thanks!
One of the pieces of the lock (the mortise lock part) did not work well (would retract and not return to the original length). I Ended up using the corresponding part from the old lock- rather than ship this one back and wait for a replacement.
Arrived quickly and fit perfectly.

Ordered two of the exact same part kits for mortoise door locks and they were made by two different manufacturers. One kit had two of the same door levers, so one was upside down. Tried to call, no answer or call back, no reply to email, and no reply from the "contact us" page on the website. Customer Service needs an overhaul.
The replacement lock does work. The only issue is that it only works for a few years and it needs to be replaced again.
Items fit and work perfectly, shipping was very fast as well!
